Coalition Worlds - Houses and Factions
Seeing the problems generated by names, and considering that the coalition worlds could perfectly have its own corporations, navy and police, I changed my mind and decided to separate the Coalition Worlds in two major houses: Ruthenia (Russia - prefix: RU) and Zhonguo (China - prefix ZH).
It will take much more longer to create all factions + ships + equipments (without talking of write-ups) but I think it worth it. Furthermore, it will give to the players a lot more possibilities in these systems, because having a single faction in Coalition could appears limited in RP.
Also, as we already said with Gunner, the new Coalition could be a modern democracy now, and when Starlancer and Freelancer had been created, it was the Cold War and we really think these times are over now.

Now this is a new approach and one that I like.
Pros
Always good to be different with a new direction
Greater RP freedom
Would allow players creating player factions to create their own coalition and therefor their own policy.
In my experience I have seen no players engaging in coalition play so a new approach would seem wise
Cons
More work to create
Need to amend storyline
My feeling is to create the 2 factions as suggested however to be more politically correct
Russia could be all former Eastern European countries. New name is sufficient but not the prefix
China could be all SE Asia (Japan has its own in Kusari). New name is sufficient but not the prefix
Go for it ( back to more writing LOL)
