Jg and Trade Lane docking

As you may all know docking a ship that's bigger than a freighter to a Jump gate or trade lane is a real major pain cuz they always get stuck so i propose since we don't have a modeler for the time being ,we should resize the current models that we got !

Do you mean resize the ships or the gates?
I think this is a lot of work but to be fair it is not always the size of the ship that is the problem but the way some of them are coded. True that some monster ships just have a nightmare with gates such as the Hedgemon.
One to ponder.

Resizing models take a few seconds, but as I already said to Khimerion, all is not possible. And agree with you Gunner, the better could to search in code what's wrong with docking, but maybe it's hardpoints which are concerned, don't know yet, i will have a look on it later, idea noted any way

Its always a hardpoint problem. I noticed that capships try to get the ship atleast halfway through the TL before the hardpoint is reached to get underway. This is a pain for some ships because the ship slows down before it gets to the hard point, and sometimes completely stops before it even touches the hardpoint. This is a huge pain unless you get the capship docking precisely in the middle of the TL.

(Problem I noted while playing on Disco) Its not the size of the ship, but sometime it kinda is. Like the Battlestar is impossible to get through TLs. (In 4.85 I managed to get it through XD)

As I already said, I will see what I can find about this. But it's far from beeing an urgency. The best is to build a new model of TL, see what I mean? Wink

Furthermore, all cruise engines have been setted up to 500 (for now), so a travel across a system won't be that long.

And about capships using JGs, let's be serious: it's like you would see (in real life) a tank using a toll highway, the most of the times, all capships I saw wanting to go in another system used Jump Holes.

Well, I think that JG/TL problem is a false one. We will see this later in a future release if more players want it.

Solution for Capship docking problems. Jump Drives. XD

But the capship will need the cargo space for the Jumpdrive + fuel for 2 jumps or else we get the problem we have in Disco. Caps needing a transport standing by to jettison fuel so we can charge our jump drives.

*Update*

All modules included into the mod, yet to be tested ingame.

About the size of Doking Rings, or Trade Lane models, I made some progress in modelling, I can now resize almost everything :)and Gallic new 3D models are a bit larger than the Vanilla ones Wink
